I bought a ton of stuff from Sephora and a couple foundations from Giorgio Armani, because I had a 15% off coupon. Just wanted to do a quick run-through of first impressions!
I got two of the Dior Diorskin Forever Compact Flawless Perfection Fusion Wear Makeup in Linen and Light Beige. A super long name, but it’s basically powder foundation in a compact. I wanted to get this because I really like how easy powder foundations are to work with, but loose foundations seem like more of a pain with the varying amounts you can get on your brush. This is pretty light coverage and gives more of a matte finish, similar to the bareMinerals Matte Foundation. So far, I think Linen might be a better fit, but it’s hard to say – my neck is a bit more yellow-toned, but the rest of my body and face are more cool-toned. I might go with the cooler-toned one, though!
I’ve wanted to try SK-II Facial Treatment Essence for a while, and I really like it so far. I decided to get it in the SK-II Pitera Essence Set Pink Flower, a limited edition set. It’s a great deal, since I also wanted to try the mask, but the mask by itself costs a small fortune (in terms of a mask). The smell of the essence takes a bit to get used to, but I think it’s helped to smooth my complexion.
I’ve wanted to try this Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion Makeup Octinoxate Sunscreen, since I’m looking for a lighter summer foundation, and it’s nice this one also has SPF. I don’t like the smell of this either, but it fades quickly after application. It’s quite light with sheer coverage. I ended up getting this direct from the Giorgio Armani site, since they have a good return policy (per their website) and they had a 20% off sale at the time.
I ended up getting this second part of the haul, because I really wanted the fresh samples that came with it!
I ended up getting the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard and tarte BB Tinted Treatment 12-Hour Primer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen in Light. Both are definitely too dark for me, which surprised me. I really like the formula of the concealer, though! Coverage is great, and I surprisingly really like the applicator for some weird reason. I really like the formula of the primer, too. The pigment is actually quite strong, and it works well as a primer. This is the travel-size version, and I’m not sure I want to take the leap to the full-size version, even though the lighter shade (Fair) is only offered in the regular size.
Yay fresh stuff! I use and really like both the Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate and the Rosé Sugar Lip Treatment Sunscreen. The eye cream is quite pricey on its own, and one of these small jars lasts me a while. The Rosé Lip Treatment is very moisturizing and has very sheer color, perfect for natural looks. I haven’t finished either of these things that I’m currently working on, so I might have to end up selling them, but I am looking forward to trying the Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment, since it has pretty good reviews.
Have you tried any of these products? What do you think?
I’m looking forward to July 4th! Do any of you have any fun plans?
