First of all, Merry Christmas! My family doesn’t do much to celebrate Christmas, but we do enjoy the day off and just hanging out and chilling. This is a really great holiday for me to reflect on Jesus’ birth and thank God for the greatest gift of sending His son to us.
I’m the type who opens Christmas gifts ASAP, and this product is my favorite Christmas gift: SKINFOOD’s Wildberry Milk Cleansing Cream. I usually use my Michael Todd Honey and Oat Cleanser, but it has a pump and isn’t the greatest to transport, so during the break, I’ve been alternating between the Mary Kay Creamy Cleanser and Michael Todd Jojoba Charcoal Scrub. I tried to use the Holika Holika Acerola Cleansing Foam, but it felt a bit too drying on my combination skin, especially during winter, so this cleansing cream was a really fitting gift!
Skin Food is actually a pretty well-known Korean brand, but it’s my first time trying a product from them. They make mostly skincare and hair products, with some cosmetics. Their main focus is making products out of, you guessed it, food, which is usually some kind of berry/vegetable.
This description for this cleansing cream is that it “combines lively wild berry extract with smooth milk extract to wash away dirt, oil, and makeup, leaving the skin soft and supple.” I generally really like things with milk concentrate; one of my favorites is L’Occitane’s Almond Milk Concentrate.
The directions for the product say you can just put it on and wipe it off, which you probably can, but I still feel weird not washing off a cleanser, so I still wash it off with warm water.
As you can tell from the pictures, the cream itself is a really nice, creamy light pink, and the texture is what it looks like. A little goes a long way when spreading it across your face, so I think it’ll last me a good amount of time.
The packaging looks like it might be some kind of cardboard/paper-based container, but it’s actually plastic, which makes sense, so the cardboard won’t disintegrate with repeated liquid exposure.
My favorite part about this is just that it leaves the skin leaving so moisturized after! After using some really strong cleansers like foams, it usually leaves the skin with a rubbery feeling, stripping it of the natural oils, but I find that this leaves the skin feeling very soft and supple, exactly like what it’s supposed to do. This is a great cleanser for sensitive/combination skin!
I linked the product to their official US site, but it doesn’t look like it’s available to directly purchase. The product can be purchased at Amazon here (affiliate link).
